How does acupuncture work? Special needles are inserted at certain points on the body to stimulate energy, or Qi, along pathways called meridians. The meridians are linked to specific internal organs and organ systems. The needles, which are pre-sterilized and disposable, are extremely thin and cause little or no pain when inserted. How many times will I need to come in for treatments? Can you treat my problem? Can I use this in conjunction with other types of medicine and therapies? Do I have to be sick to get acupuncture? Can I get acupuncture for wellness? What do you charge? There is also a small (2%) MN Care tax applied to treatments. What is your cancellation policy? We kindly ask you to give us 24 hours notice if you must reschedule or cancel an appointment. If you must cancel less than 24 hours from your appointment or miss is altogether, we charge you for the full amount of the appointment. Do you take insurance? We are a member of the HealthPartners network. If your HealthPartners plan covers acupuncture, you need only pay your copay. If you do not have HealthPartners insurance, we will give you a receipt that includes the insurance codes your insurance company may need to process a claim. You can then submit these receipts to your insurance company. If you have more questions about the clinic, the practitioners, or about what we can do for you, please call us at 651-227-6865.
